AIUB Cyber Gaming Fest 2025 draws big turnout of students
The AIUB Cyber Gaming Fest 2025, organised by the AIUB Computer Club with support from the Office of Student Affairs, was held from 19 to 22 December 2025, drawing a large turnout of students from schools, colleges, and universities across the country.
The event was attended by Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr Md Abdur Rahman; Proctor, Professor Dr Manzur H Khan; Abhijit Bhowmik, Associate Professor and Special Assistant of the Office of Student Affairs; Md Mazid-ul-Haque, Assistant Professor and Special Assistant of the Office of Student Affairs; and SM Abdullah Shafi, Lecturer and Special Assistant of the Office of Student Affairs.
Spanning several days of online and on-campus competitions, the fest transformed the AIUB campus into a vibrant gaming arena. The event was organised in collaboration with multiple partners, including Kiyan's Kollectibles as equipment sponsor, MSI as tech sponsor, City Bank as basic sponsor, and Link3 as internet partner. Media partners included Daily Sun, The Daily Jugantor, and DBC News, while Kishor Alo served as magazine partner.
In the PUBG Mobile segment, 51 teams competed in online qualifiers, narrowing down to 16 teams for the campus finals. After four final matches, Blackbeard Pirates emerged as champions.
The Valorant segment combined online and LAN matches. AllStars advanced through the lower bracket and defeated No_Nonsense before facing NAXR Esports in the grand final. After losing the opening match in overtime, AllStars won the next two matches to claim the title.
Other competitions included Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, where Viper Strikers won the final; FC 25, won by Neo; and E-Football, where Shaon Shanto claimed the solo title and PNG Bot won the team segment.
The closing ceremony was attended by Nadia Anwar, Founder Member and Chairman of the Board of Trustees; Vice-Chancellor, Dr Saiful Islam; and Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr Md Abdur Rahman. The programme concluded with prize distribution, recognition of campus ambassadors and clubs, and a cultural performance by the AIUB Performing Arts Club.
