AB Bank elects Md Fazlur Rahman as chairman
AB Bank PLC has elected Md Fazlur Rahman, Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, as the new chairman of its Board of Directors, effective 18 June 2026.
Prior to this appointment, Md Fazlur Rahman served as vice-chairman of AB Bank PLC.
Rahman joined AB Bank PLC as a vice president in 1997 and later served as president and managing director from 2012 to 2014. Under his leadership, the bank achieved significant financial milestones.

Rahman is a chartered accountant with extensive expertise in banking, financial management, and strategic planning.
He has been recognised for his leadership contributions to the capital market and investment banking sector.
Rahman has also authored analytical articles on banking and financial sector issues, published in national daily newspapers in Bangladesh.
