Budget FY26: Govt plans to continue fertiliser, agricultural input subsidies
To ensure uninterrupted supply of emergency agricultural inputs like fertilisers, the government has expedited the disbursement of subsidies — covering both imported and domestically produced fertilisers — to close the trade gap and clear pending payments

Subsidies for fertilisers and agricultural inputs will continue in the upcoming fiscal year, Finance Adviser Salehuddin Ahmed announced today (2 June).
"Under the 'Agricultural Rehabilitation Assistance' programme, both agricultural inputs and cash incentives have been provided in the current fiscal year. Special assistance was also extended to small and marginal farmers affected by recent floods," he said in a pre-recorded speech telecast while unveiling the national budget of Tk7,89,999 for FY26.
"To ensure uninterrupted supply of emergency agricultural inputs like fertilisers, the government has expedited the disbursement of subsidies — covering both imported and domestically produced fertilisers — to close the trade gap and clear pending payments," he added.
