Edible oil prices rise by Tk3-13 per litre from tomorrow
The price of a one-litre bottle of soybean oil has been set at Tk195, while a five-litre bottle will cost Tk945

Edible oil prices in the local market have been increased by Tk3-13 per litre, effective from tomorrow (14 October).
The hike comes amid rising prices in the international market, said a press release from the Bangladesh Vegetable Oil Refiners and Vanaspati Manufacturers Association, signed by Executive Officer Md Nurul Islam Molla.
According to the release, the price of a one-litre bottle of soybean oil has been set at Tk195, while a five-litre bottle will cost Tk945. Loose soybean oil will be sold at Tk177 per litre, and loose palm oil at Tk163 per litre.
Previously, bottled soybean oil was priced at Tk189 per litre, loose soybean oil at Tk174, and palm oil at Tk150 per litre.
The association said the new rates were fixed after consultations with the Ministry of Commerce to align with international market trends.
