BB instructs banks to pay this month's salaries by 23 March
The government earlier decided to release the March salaries and allowances on 23 March for all government, semi-government, and autonomous institution employees and retired pensioners

The Bangladesh Bank has directed all banks to disburse the salaries and allowances of employees for this month by 23 March.
It also instructed to clear the payments of retirement allowances for pensioners by the same date.
The central bank today (20 March) ssued a circular in this regard.

Eid-ul-Fitr is expected to be observed across Bangladesh on 31 March, subject to moon sighting.
