Bangladesh to send letters to US addressing new tariff policy within 2 days
The letters will outline the steps the Bangladeshi government has already taken — and plans to take — to facilitate exports to the US and improve the ease of doing business and investment in Bangladesh, Shafiqul Alam says

In response to the United States' new tariff policy, the Bangladesh government has decided to send two official letters to the US within the next 48 hours.
The letters will be sent by Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus and Commerce Adviser Sk Bashir Uddin to US President Donald Trump and the US Trade Representative (USTR) respectively, Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam told the media today (6 April).
"The letters will outline the steps the Bangladeshi government has already taken — and plans to take — to facilitate exports to the US and improve the ease of doing business and investment in Bangladesh," he added.
The announcement came after a high-level special meeting held today at the Ministry of Finance, chaired by the Finance Adviser Salehuddin Ahmed.
