Emirates Skywards introduces rail travel rewards across Europe

Emirates Skywards has expanded its travel rewards by launching Skywards Rail, enabling members to redeem Miles for train travel to more than 12,000 destinations across Europe.

According to a press release issued today (30 July), the new platform allows members to book rail tickets with over 40 major rail operators across 12 European countries.

Through the dedicated website, SkywardsRail.com, members can search train schedules, select their preferred cabin and ticket type, and pay entirely with Skywards Miles or combine Cash + Miles for bookings, the press release added.
"Members can also redeem Miles to book tickets for family and friends, with e-tickets delivered directly via email."
The press release also stated, "The service covers domestic, international and high-speed rail journeys with leading operators including Eurostar, Deutsche Bahn, SNCF, Trenitalia, TGV, Renfe and ÖBB. It also includes major UK rail services such as Heathrow Express, Gatwick Express, Thameslink, Great Western Railway and ScotRail."
According to Emirates, the launch of Skywards Rail marks a significant expansion of the loyalty programme beyond air travel, offering members greater flexibility and more ways to explore Europe using their accumulated Miles.
Emirates Skywards recently marked its 25th anniversary and now has more than 39 million members across 190 countries, with over 78,000 new members joining the programme every week.
