Canada keen to invest in Bangladesh's aviation sector

Canada has expressed interest in investing in Bangladesh's aviation sector and offering soft loans to support its ongoing development projects.
The proposal was discussed during a courtesy meeting between Canadian High Commissioner Ajit Singh and Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) Chairman Air Vice Marshal Md Monjur Kabir Bhuiyan at the CAAB headquarters today (18 May).
The potential Canadian support could help accelerate several key infrastructure initiatives currently underway at airports across Bangladesh, including cargo village enhancements and terminal expansions, said a press release.
Both parties exchanged views on enhancing the existing cooperation in aviation and expressed interest in deepening bilateral partnerships in this field.
Representatives from the Canadian High Commission and senior CAAB officials were also present at the meeting.
