Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) Air Vice Marshal Md Monjur Kabir Bhuiyan officially unveiled the newly designed uniform for Aviation Security (AVSEC) personnel under CAAB at a ceremony held at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport today (1 July).

The new uniform, tailored to reflect modern security needs and professionalism, is expected to enhance AVSEC members' presence with a more confident, disciplined, and visible appearance, said a press release.

Speaking at the ceremony, the CAAB chairman emphasised the critical role of AVSEC personnel in ensuring airport security and expressed hope that the new attire would foster greater professionalism, unity, and pride among members.

At the same event, the chairman also inaugurated a new cargo flight route operated by Central Airlines between Dhaka and Wuhu Wanzhou International Airport in China.

The route will run five weekly flights starting today.

Aimed at boosting trade between Bangladesh and China, the cargo flights will carry apparel, accessories, machinery, raw materials for the textile sector, as well as perishable export goods like crabs and eel fish.

The route is expected to strengthen logistics by offering a timely, secure, and efficient transport option for exporters and importers.
