Mysterious 'exchange' of aircraft tyres: Biman files GD
On 18 August, Biman filed a general diary with the Airport police station, and an investigation committee was formed immediately.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines has reported an unauthorised handover of 10 tyres from its hangar to another airline and filed a general diary over the incident.
"The 10 tyres were out of service and set aside for auction. On 16 August, two employees from our engineering department tried to hand them over to the US-Bangla staff and take six tyres from them in exchange. Our security personnel caught them in the act," Biman spokesperson ABM Rowshan Kabir told TBS.
On 18 August, Biman filed a general diary with the Airport police station, and an investigation committee was formed immediately.
"Once the investigation committee submits their report, strict legal action will be taken against those responsible," Rowshan Kabir added.
When asked whether the employees were trying to sell the tyres, he said, "Everything will come out once the investigation is complete."
Airport police station Officer-in-Charge Taslima Akter told TBS, "Biman Bangladesh filed a general diary about the aircraft tyres. This is not a theft case; it mainly involves one party allowing another to use the tyres. An exchange was made with another airline. We will investigate the matter."
US-Bangla Airlines spokesperson Kamrul Islam declined to comment.
