100% poverty to be eradicated by 2030: AHM Mustafa Kamal

Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal today again emphasised that Bangladesh will be a poverty-free country by 2030.
"After 2030, no one will be able to find anyone deprived of food, clothing and accommodation," the finance minister said.
He made the remark at a seminar organised by Bangladesh Resident Mission of Asian Development Bank (ADB) at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre on September 29.
Talking about the government's success, Energy Adviser to the Prime Minister Dr Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury said, "The country is reaping the benefits of Digital Bangladesh started by the Awami League-led government 10 years back."
The Country Director of Bangladesh Resident Mission of ADB, Manmohan Parkash said, "Bangladesh is earning about $16.4billion remittance from 1.2crore expatriates. If this workforce is trained properly, Bangladesh could earn more than $100billion remittance every year."
