Govt ready to face cyclone Bulbul, says state minister for relief
All the deputy commissioners and upazila nirbahi officers were directed to keep ready adequate transports to bring people in safer places from inaccessible areas

The government is ready to face the cyclone Bulbul, which is likely to hit coastal areas of Khulna and West Bengal by this evening, said State Minister for Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief Dr Md Enamur Rahman.
Vacation of all public employees working in upazila levels has been cancelled due to face the situation, Md Enamur told a press briefing held after a meeting on Cyclone Bulbul today. The Inter-Ministerial Disaster Management Coordination Committee organised the meeting which was attended by Senior Secretary of the ministry Md Shah Kamal, read a press release.
The seven coastal district- Khulna, Satkhira, Bagerhat, Barguna, Patuakhali, Bhola and Pirozpur were allocated 14 thousand packets of dry food and a fund of Tk70 lakh with 10 lakh for each district. A total of 14,00 tonnes of rice was also kept aside for the victims.
Apart from this, Tk30 lakh was allocated for Noakhali, Laxmipur, Feni, Chandpur, Chattogram and Cox's Bazar along with 1,00 tonnes of rice.
Additionally, Tk1 lakh for cow food and Tk1 lakh for children's food were also allocated for Khulna Satkhira, Pirozpur, Patuakhali, Bhola and Bagerhat districts. Furthermore will be allocated considering demand, said Dr Enamur.
Pre warning messages is being disseminating through 55,515 volunteers in 13 coastal districts, the state minister added.
