Water vessels to carry 50% passengers from Thursday

Water vessels will run with 50 percent passengers of the carrying capacity from Thursday amid the rising trend of coronavirus infection, said State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury.
The decision to increase the fare will be announced tomorrow, the minister told media today, reports Somoy News.
"The launch owners have proposed to increase the fare by 60 percent as like other public transports," he added.

Amid the rising trend of coronavirus infection, the government on Tuesday ordered all public transports to run with 50 percent passengers of its carrying capacity from Wednesday. Besides, public transport fare was also increased by 60%.
