An employee of Chattogram Port died from Covid-19 infection early Monday while undergoing treatment at Mother and Childcare Hospital in Chattogram.
Deceased Fazlul Haque, 58, was a master operator at the mechanical department of the port.
"Fazlul Haque was coronavirus positive. He had been undergoing treatment for two weeks at the hospital. He breathed his last at the intensive care unit (ICU) of the hospital early Monday," Aminul Islam, chief engineer (mechanical) of the port, told The Business Standard.

On May 7, Mizanur Rahman, deputy assistant engineer of Chattogram Port, died with Covid-19 like symptoms while undergoing treatment at Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH).
Aminul Islam also said four employees of the mechanical department had died either from Covid-19 infection or with the symptoms so far.
