Covid-19 taught us a lot: BGMEA president
During the pandemic, as we do many things virtually, traffic jam is not a problem any more
Dr Rubana Huq, the president of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has said the Covid-19 pandemic has taught us a lot of things which are required to gear up our efficiency level.
"Once we were worried about traffic jams while attending any programme in the Gulshan area, but Covid-19 has taught us to conduct any meeting virtually. Moreover, we can do a lot of things within a short time without being tired, which increases our efficiency level", she said.
Rubana Huq said this on Saturday while addressing a webinar titled "Head and Heart of Leadership" as the chief guest, organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB).

The pandemic has also taught us to be humble, an important attribute for being a true human being, regardless of which religion you follow. We have also learnt how to live together.
When Covid-19 will be over, there will be some problems, and we should face them together, she added.
Ayesha Jahan Bibha, affiliate professor, University of Denver, Australia, and a TEDx Talk l speaker presented the keynote paper.
"When the pandemic outbreaks started, people got scared. After three months, it became the "new normal" and people found the way to adjust with it. At present, after six months, we should treat Covid-19 as the 'better normal'. Otherwise, we will lag".
Parveen Mahmud FCA, past president, ICAB, who presided over the webinar, said we should think everything positively, which can make our life easier.
