Army patrols will be intensified in East Rajabazar area from this midnight to support the civil administration

Army personnel will be deployed in Dhaka's East Rajabazar area from 12 midnight tonight to help the civil administration bring in order and discipline as a lockdown was imposed here due to surging Covid-19 infection rate.
''Army patrols will be intensified in the East Rajabazar area from this midnight to support the civil administration,'' reads a press release of the Inter-Services Public Relation Directorate (ISPR).
Dhaka North City Corporation is going to put the area under lockdown from 12 midnight tonight as it was labeled a red-zone because of its high infections from Covid-19.
Traffic will be closed in the area during the lockdown. The residents of East Rajabazar will not be allowed to leave the area and no outsider will be allowed in.
