Covid-19 infected Rangpur medical’s principal airlifted to Dhaka

Covid-19 infected Professor Dr AKM Nurunnabi, Principal of Rangpur Medical College, was airlifted to Dhaka on Saturday for better treatment.

According to an Inter Service Public Relation (ISPR) press release, following deterioration of his health condition, Bangladesh Air Force helicopter MI-171SH carrying Dr AKM Nurunnabi left Rangpur for Dhaka, said.

He was subsequently taken to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital for better treatment.

Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, Bangladesh Air Force has been providing emergency air transport and medical evacuation assistance to civilians to support coronavirus patients.

The medical evacuation mission was carried out under the guidance of the Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force.
