Nagad outstrips the Rocket
The Commercial and Regulatory Affairs Department of Nagad revealed this in a press statement

Bangladesh Post Office's digital financial service 'Nagad' has secured the second place among all mobile financial services in Bangladesh.
The Commercial and Regulatory Affairs Department of Nagad revealed this in a press statement issued yesterday.
"The Bangladesh Post Office is relentlessly working for the financial inclusion of the country's mass people. That is why we could achieve this mark within only seven months after our commencement," the statement read.
Since its initiation, Nagad has been receiving positive feedbacks from customers because of its cost-efficient and commendable services, it said.
Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar on Sunday published a post on his verified Facebook account saying, "On 13 October 2019, the history took a turn. On that day, we reached the second position among all the mobile financial services in Bangladesh."
"Only the seven-month old Nagad has overtaken the Rocket, a 11-year-old mobile financial service," the minister wrote on his post.
Few days ago, Nagad and the state-run mobile operator Teletalk jointly have brought 60 lakh customers under financial inclusion in just one day, the press release said.
Nagad charges only Tk14.50 against each cash-out transaction of Tk1000, the lowest charge in the country, the press statement mentioned.
