ESPL partners with Bongo to nurture esports in Bangladesh
ESPL would be the first international esports company to enter Bangladesh with serious plans for developing esports in the country.

Bongo, a streaming video-on-demand service in Bangladesh, has revealed its partnership with Esports Players League (ESPL) on Tuesday to nurture and develop esports in Bangladesh.
Bangladesh's esports scene has recently received an interest from many international brands willing to sponsor tournaments.
However, with this partnership with Bongo, the ESPL would be the first international esports company to enter Bangladesh with serious plans for developing esports in the country.
Bongo's partnership with the ESPL will provide an exciting first step for many young aspiring esports players with a dream to connect to esports on a global scale, saida press release from the ESPL.
Founded in early 2019, the ESPL officially launched its online tournament platform in January 2020 with a mission of building a sustainable foundation for amateur esports players around the world to compete and grow into champions.
This network has since expanded to 12 countries in South America, South Asia, South East Asia, and Europe in a period of 12 months and its growth is continuing.
In its first move, the ESPL has launched a tournament focused on grassroots with Riot Games South Asia's support. The tournament named the "ESPL Valorant PowerUp Bangladesh Series" will last six months with a grand total prize pool of Tk11.45 lakh.
A new tournament will start each month with a total prize pool of Tk1.90 lakh separated into the Amateur Cup and Invitational Cup.
"South Asia has a huge population of young talented players with the aspiration of becoming esports champions. Game titles such as Valorant have been very active in developing a sustainable ecosystem for players to grow into world champions," said Michael Broda, chief executive officer of ESPL.
"This tournament will be an exciting opportunity for us to build a lasting foundation for our players and brands," he added.
Registration for the ESPL Valorant PowerUp Bangladesh series started on 7 December, 2020 and will end on 20 December, 2020.
