Banglalink to facilitate AUW students’ skills development

The students of Asian University for Women (AUW) are going to get an opportunity to be upskilled and participate in various programmes facilitated by Banglalink throughout the year.

Banglalink, one of the leading digital communications service providers in the country, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with AUW to provide the opportunity to learn from Banglalink professionals.

Under this agreement, AUW students will get the chance to take part in Banglalink's youth empowerment programs such as: Learn from the Startups, Campus to Corporate, Career Bootcamp, Ennovators, Strategic Assistant Program, Advanced Internship Program, and Womentor, said a press release.

Monzula Morshed, chief human resources and administration officer of Banglalink; Ayesha Saeed, head of Talent Management of Banglalink; Ankit Sureka, head of Corporate Communications and Sustainability; Sanaul Karim Chowdhury, deputy registrar of AUW; and Malaka Marjina, internship coordinator at the Center for Career Development and International Programs participated in the virtual signing ceremony.

Monzula Morshed said, "The youth of today dream bigger than before and are more focused on achieving their dreams. Banglalink has always believed that empowering the young generation with the right learning platforms and opportunities will help them achieve their potential and gift us with strong leaders for tomorrow."

"Our agreement with Asian University for Women is one of the many industry-academia collaborative initiatives Banglalink is currently undertaking for youth empowerment as well as women's empowerment, and I am excited at the prospect of seeing more and more young women transform their emerging talent into flourishing careers," she added.

Sanaul K Chowdhury said, "AUW is very happy to be signing this MoU with one of the leading telecom companies – Banglalink. It is a wonderful opportunity for AUW students to work as interns in a multinational company like Banglalink, from which they can gather experience for real-life work environments and will be able to build up their career as a great professional. This opportunity will enrich our students with good working knowledge, too."

Banglalink will continue to take similar initiatives to facilitate youth empowerment in the country, stated the press release.
