ZI Panna rejects claim that plans to visit Dhanmondi 32 on 15 Aug under ‘71 Mancha’ banner
Earlier, on 5 August, a new platform named ‘71 Mancha’ was launched to prevent the distortion of the history of the Liberation War and to protect the dignity of freedom fighters.
Supreme Court lawyer ZI Khan Panna has denied the claim that he, under the banner of '71 Mancha,' will visit Dhanmondi 32 on 15 August.
In a post on his verified Facebook account today (8 August) evening, he wrote, "It is not correct to say that Dr Kamal Hossain and I, in the name of '71 Mancha,' will go to 32 No on 15 August."
His remarks came after writer Taslima Nasrin posted a photo of Dr Kamal Hossain and ZI Khan Panna on Facebook, with a caption stating that "a mourning procession would march to 32 No under Dr Kamal and freedom fighter ZI Khan Panna's leadership," urging everyone in favour of independence to be prepared.
Earlier, on 5 August, a new platform named '71 Mancha' was launched to prevent the distortion of the history of the Liberation War and to protect the dignity of freedom fighters.
According to a press release issued on 5 August, the platform was formed with freedom fighters, representatives of the new generation, and students, coordinated by Bir Protik Prof Abdullah Al Mahmud and Supreme Court lawyer ZI Khan Panna.
