A 25-year-old youth died after falling from the rooftop of a six-storey building in the Arambagh's Miazan Goli of the capital's Motijheel area this afternoon (1 April).

The deceased, identified as Ripon, was the son of the late Md Hossain and a resident of Sheikh Shaheb Bazar, Lalbagh. He was reportedly visiting his cousin's house when the accident took place.

Family members rushed the critically injured Ripon to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) at around 4pm, where doctors declared him dead upon examination.
