Youth beaten over allegedly attempting to rape child in Brahmanbaria
He fled later sensing the presence of local people

A youth was beaten by some local people last night (19 March) over alleged attempt to rape a 7-year-old child at Bitgharin Nabinagar in Brahmanbaria district.
The injured man is Abdul Khaled, 25, son of Anish Mia of Bitghar village.
Nabinagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Abdur Razzak said that Abdul Khalek tried to rape the child on the roof of a primary school in Bitghar village on Tuesday afternoon (18 March).

He fled later sensing the presence of local people.
When the matter came to light on Wednesday, people caught Khaled and thrashed him.
On receiving the information, police went to the spot, rescued and admitted him to Brahmanbaria 250-bed General Hospital.
Legal action will be taken, said the OC.
