This year’s Independence Day parade not cancelled: CA Press Wing
Parade to be held in 63 districts, not in Dhaka due to ongoing renovations at the National Stadium

The Chief Adviser's Press Wing has clarified that reports of no parade on Independence Day this year are untrue.
"Due to ongoing renovations at the National Stadium in Dhaka, the parade cannot be organised in the capital like recent years. However, the interim government has decided to hold the parade with due honour in the remaining 63 districts across the country," the press wing said in a statement tonight (16 March).
The government will also recognise the brave freedom fighters on the day.
All District Commissioners have been instructed to take the necessary steps to ensure its successful execution, said the statement.
Earlier in the day, Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs Nasimul Ghani said there will be no Independence Day parade this year too.
He quoted the home adviser as saying that "the country is currently in a warlike state and the government is not in a mood to enjoy right now."
