Veteran journo Bibhuranjan's last rites held in Dhaka

Veteran journalist-columnist Bibhuranjan Sarkar's last rites was held at the Boro Deshwari Kali Temple and crematorium in the capital's Sabujbagh on Saturday (23 August).
The ceremony began at 6:15pm and was completed around 8:30pm, reports bdnews24.
Family members, colleagues and well-wishers gathered at the Boro Deshwari Kali Temple to bid farewell to the veteran journalist.

Bibhuranjan, 71, was the senior assistant editor of the daily Ajker Patrika. He had left his Siddheshwari home in Dhaka on Thursday morning (21 August) and went missing soon after.
His body was recovered from the Meghna River in Gazaria, Munshiganj, on Friday afternoon.
After an autopsy on Saturday noon, his body was handed over to his family.
