Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner SM Sazzat Ali today called upon all concerned to use minimum force to maintain law and order in any emergency.
"We're not the British police. We're the people's police. Therefore, we have to learn various techniques of using minimum force to maintain law and order in any emergency situation," he said.
He made the remarks while inspecting the three-day training on Public Order Management that started on Sunday at the Rajarbagh Police Lines.
The DMP chief spoke to the trainees and trainers and gave them the necessary guidance and instruction on how to use the training practically.
A total of 150 police personnel from various units of the DMP are taking part in the training.
Various sessions were held on the second-day of training on the techniques of using minimum force to deal with adverse situations.
Senior officers of various ranks of Police Headquarters and DMP were also present.
