US threatens visa cancellation for students found skipping classes, dropping out
The embassy stated that foreign students found skipping classes or dropping out of their courses may risk losing their visa

The US Embassy of Dhaka has announced a warning for foreign students on student visas in the country.
The embassy stated that foreign students found skipping classes or dropping out of their courses may risk losing their visa.
"If you drop out, skip classes, or leave your program of study without informing your school, your student visa may be revoked, and you may lose eligibility for future US visas. Always adhere to the terms of your visa and maintain your student status to avoid any issues," reads the official statement.
The statement, posted on the embassy's Facebook page, comes as the US continues to carry out major deportation drives that target both foreign students and immigrants in the country.
This warning from the US government comes amid the mass deportation drives targeting international students and immigrants.
