The US Embassy in Dhaka has said it has suspended regular visa processes.
Only emergency cases are being considered, according to sources.
"We are not closed. We are closed for routine visa appointments. We remain operating," a source told TBS.

"We are processing only emergency cases. Not routine cases. We have very limited staffing after the embassy personnel had left on ordered departure."
