US, Bangladesh conclude joint military exercise 'Tiger Shark'

The United States and Bangladesh have successfully concluded 'Tiger Shark', a bilateral military exercise aimed at boosting defense ties and enhancing military coordination between the two nations.
Held under the framework of the US-Bangladesh defense partnership, the exercise brought together members of the US Indo-Pacific Command and the Bangladesh Armed Forces, said a press release.
Activities included medical training, patrolling, marksmanship, swimming and diving, as well as close-quarters combat.
"This joint military exercise reaffirms our commitment to a safer, stronger and more prosperous Indo-Pacific. It also symbolizes the strong U.S.-Bangladesh partnership," said US Chargé d'Affaires Ambassador Tracey Jacobson.
In addition to tactical training, Tiger Shark featured joint planning sessions, simulation drills, and subject matter expert exchanges, fostering coordinated responses to potential regional challenges.
The exercise is a part of ongoing efforts by both nations to promote peace, security, and stability across the Indo-Pacific region.
