Until we see Hasina on gallows, no one should talk about elections: Sarjis Alam
“How can we think about anything else in Bangladesh until the murderer is brought to justice?” he asked.

No one should talk about elections until Hasina faces trial, National Citizens Party (NCP) Chief Organiser (Northern Region) Sarjis Alam said today (4 March).
Speaking to reporters after visiting the graves of the July martyrs at the Rayerbazar graveyard in the capital, he said many mothers didn't even know where Hasina kept the bodies of their children.
"How can we think about anything else in Bangladesh until the murderer is brought to justice?" he asked.
"As long as we don't see the murderer Hasina on the gallows, there will be no elections in Bangladesh. We were on the streets, and my brothers who gave their lives there, as well as the tears still flowing from our mothers' eyes, we hope that before we die, we will at least witness the trial of the murderer Hasina," he said.
Speaking at the event, NCP Convener Nahid Islam said, "We want a speedy trial for the repression that took place in the July coup. Through justice, the suffering of those who sacrificed their lives and were injured can be alleviated to some extent. Let this trial be a model, and let no fascism develop."
