Two held with 34 turtles in Satkhira

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained two persons for selling turtles illegally at Dalua Bazar in Patkhelghata of Satkhira today.
The detainees are Hazra Pad Sarkar, 38, and Uttam Mallik, 35. RAB seized about 34 turtles from the duo.
Abu Selim, general secretary of the traders' association of Dalua Bazar, said, "Hazra and Uttam have been selling turtles in the market for a long. RAB members arrested them and seized two bags of turtles today morning."

"Action will be taken against them under the Wildlife Protection Act," said Md Shahinur Islam, company commander of RAB-4 Satkhira unit.
