Twelve, a leading clothing brand in the country, has opened its flagship outlet in Bashundhara City Shopping Mall in Dhaka's Panthapath.

On Monday (10 March), Team Group Managing Director Abdullah Hil Rakib, Deputy Managing Director Abdullah Hil Nakib, and Twelve Director and COO Md Motiur Rahman inaugurated the outlet on Level 5 of Bashundhara City.

Economic Reporters Forum (ERF) President Doulot Akter Mala and General Secretary Abul Kashem were special guests at the grand event. Members of the ERF Executive Committee and the organisation's promotion officers also attended.

On its opening day, the outlet, which is the brand's 43rd, saw a large turnout of shoppers as its launch coincided with the brand's Eid collection for fashion-conscious shoppers.

Speaking at the event, Rakib stated that Twelve has curated its collection with great care for this Eid, focusing on fashionable, trendy, and modern clothing that caters to both Ethnic and Western fashion trends.

He highlighted that Twelve Clothing designs apparel for people of all classes and ages. "We are committed to providing quality products at affordable prices, always keeping in mind the purchasing power and comfort of the buyer."

He further mentioned that a dedicated feedback box has been placed both online and in stores, emphasising Twelve's commitment to advancing with customer suggestions.

ERF President Mala noted that Bangladesh is about to graduate from the LDC status, which could present various financial challenges. "To prepare for this, we will need to take several fiscal measures by identifying these challenges."

She added that many countries offer tax and duty benefits as fiscal measures to support local industries. "Our government should also provide such benefits to sustain local industries as import substitutes in the post-LDC period," she commented.

It was also mentioned that Twelve previously operated two outlets on the ground floor and Level 1 of Bashundhara City. However, the new flagship outlet was established in a larger space to meet customer demands better.

The event concluded with prayers and well-wishes for the success of the outlet. Twelve has introduced various offers to celebrate the inauguration, including free tickets to Toggy World with purchases over a certain amount, gift vouchers, and gift hampers for customers.

Additionally, it was announced that Twelve's 44th store will be launched next week in Khulna, the commercial hub of the southwestern region of the country.
