Container ship tilts while loading goods at Chattogram port
The incident took place on Sunday morning at jetty no 11 of the port

A Panama flag-carrying ship named MV OEL HIND has tilted while loading containers at Chattogram port.
The incident took place on Sunday morning at jetty no 11 of the port.
Omar Farooq, secretary of the Chattogram Port Authority, told The Business Standard that the ship was scheduled to leave the port on Sunday with 964 containers of export goods and empty containers.
At one stage of loading the ship, it tilted by eight degrees towards the jetty of the port.
The authorities later took steps to restore balance by removing 20 containers weighing 500 tonnes from the ship.
The ship will be allowed to leave the port if the report by an independent surveyor says it is suitable for navigation.
