4 killed, including mother, son, and grandmother as bus crushes auto-rickshaw in Faridpur

A road crash in Bhanga, Faridpur, today (5 December) claimed the lives of four auto-rickshaw passengers, including three members of the same family.
The fatal accident occurred at around 12pm in the Purba Sadardi area on the Faridpur-Bhanga-Barishal Highway.
The identified victims, all from Purba Sadardi village, are Rimu Akhter, 22, her infant son Rayan, 3, and her mother, Noorjahan Begum, 50. The identity of the fourth deceased victim is yet to be confirmed.
Three others, including a child, were injured and have been admitted to Bhanga Upazila Health Complex.
Mohammad Rokibuzzaman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Bhanga Highway Police Station, confirmed the details, saying, "Three people died instantly at the scene. The remaining injured victims were rescued and taken to the Bhanga Upazila Health Complex, where one more person succumbed to their injuries. We have initially confirmed the identities of three of the deceased and are working to confirm the fourth."
Police stated that an auto-rickshaw traveling from Bhanga towards Tekerhat was heading into Chumurdi Union when it was crushed by a fast-moving bus coming from the opposite direction near Purba Sadardi.
