Train services on the Dhaka-Mymensingh route resumed today at 6am after being suspended for over 8 hours due to a derailment.

The incident occurred at the Dhala Railway Station in Trishal, Mymensingh.

Following the incident, a rescue train arrived from Mymensingh to begin recovery operations. Around 2:15am, the derailed carriage was cleared, and the train continued its journey to Dewanganj.

Repair work on the damaged tracks was completed shortly after, and normal train services on the route resumed by 6am.

The derailment occurred at 9:20pm last night when four wheels of a carriage went off the tracks near Dhala Railway Station.
