Intercity train Haor Express ran over three people sleeping on the tracks in Netrokona's Barhatta area early Sunday.

The deceased are Ripon Mia, 24, his brother Sawpan Mia, 22, and their neighbour Mukhlesur Rahman, 28.

"The trio from Swalpadashal village went on fishing in a small pond next to the rail tracks on Saturday night. However, they fell asleep on the tracks after feeling exhausted at midnight", said Md Mizanur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Barhatta Police Station.
