Dhaka may experience severe traffic congestion today (8 February) as BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman is set to begin an intensive election campaign, addressing six public rallies across Dhaka.
With thousands expected to join these events, these spots are likely to spill over onto the main thoroughfares.
Today's campaign trail will begin at 2pm at ECB Chattar in Dhaka-17, one of the two constituencies from which Tarique is contesting the upcoming election.
The itinerary is as follows:
- ECB Chattar, Dhaka-17 (2pm)
- Pallabi Ward 2 Lal Math near the metro station, Dhaka-16 (2:40pm)
- Adarsha High School in Senpara near the Mirpur-10 roundabout, Dhaka-15 (3:30pm)
- National Bangla High School, opposite Mirpur Model Police Station, Dhaka-14 (4:20pm)
- Shyamoli Club ground near Shyamoli Square, Dhaka-13 (5:10pm)
- Sunvalley field, Satarkul, Badda, Dhaka-11 (6pm)
