Three ‘yaba peddlers’ detained at Dhaka airport
A teenage girl and two others were held by the airport authority on Friday

Three people, including a teenage girl, were detained at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Friday for allegedly carrying yaba tablets.
The detainees are Mim Akter, 14, Yamin, 32, Sharif, 26.
Alamgir H Shimul, additional superintendent of Airport Armed Police Battalion told The Business Standard that more than 8,000 Yaba tablets were confiscated from the three suspects.

“The trio landed at the airport on different airlines carrying yaba tablets. We detained them on a tip off on Friday during different drives at the airport and turned them over to the airport police station,” he said.
Three separate cases have been filed against them.
