A land surveyor died after being hit by a motorcycle while working on the Marine Drive in Cox's Bazar today (2 December).

The deceased was identified as Md Suja Mia, 40.

The incident took place at Sonar Para in Ukhiya upazila around 12pm, said Cox's Bazar Sadar Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Nur Mohammad.

Quoting locals, Nur Mohammad said Suja Mia was working on Marine Drive when a speeding motorcycle coming from Cox's Bazar hit him.

Suja was taken to Cox's Bazar District Sadar Hospital where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
