"School Bullying Prevention Policy" to be finalised Saturday
Every school would have a student council where the guardians would also be guided.
The Education Ministry is set to finalise the draft of the "School Bullying Prevention Policy” on Saturday.
The ministry will disclose the details of the policy at a workshop to be held at Bangladesh Bureau of Education and Information Statistics.
The ministry has taken the initiative to make such a policy following a courts order.

The widespread criticism on bullying spread after the death of Aritri Adhikari, a ninth-grader of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College, last year.
"We will submit the draft to the education minister. It will later be sent to the Cabinet after getting the minister's nod for final approval," Additional Secretary (Secondary and Higher Education Division) of the Education Ministry Jabed Ahmed told The Business Standard.
The ministry sources said every school would have a student council where the guardians would also be guided.
The school authorities could take action against a student if he or she is found guilty of bullying, the draft policy says.
It says the school administration, as a primary action, can suspend the rogue students.
The school authorities can also take help from the police later, if needed.
