He was later rescued and treated at the Upazila Health Complex. Currently, he is at home recovering.
Mehedi Manju, the vice-president of Upazila Chhatra League, stated, "I have never harmed anyone through politics, yet I am being forced to flee. I had gone home in the afternoon to see my ailing mother. As soon as BNP activists got the news, they attacked my house. I had already left by then. My uncle, Bachchu Molla, tried to stop them and was attacked."
When contacted for further information, Bachchu Molla's family members confirmed that Bachchu Molla was doing well and staying at home.
