Meghna Express to resume operation today

The Meghna Express train, which runs on Chattogram-Chandpur-Chattogram route, is set to resume its operation today following the government instruction of allocating 50 percent of the total seats for passengers.
"The train is expected to leave Chattogram Railway Station at 5.15pm for Chandpur," Ratan Kumar Chowdhury, manager of Chattogram Railway Station, told The Business Standard.
On 31 May, the Dhaka-bound Subarna Express, Sonar Bangla and Sylhet-bound Udayan Express started operating from Chattogram after more than two months of the general holiday which was imposed to control the novel coronavirus spread.
On March 25, the government ordered a suspension of all modes of transport as part of its effort to enforce social distancing effectively to slow the spread of coronavirus.
