A Dhaka tribunal on 7 June sentenced Sohel Rana and his wife, Swapna Akter, to death in the widely discussed case filed over the rape and murder of eight-year-old Ramisa Akter in Dhaka's Pallabi last month.
Judge Masrur Salekin of the Dhaka Metropolitan Tribunal for the Prevention of Violence against Children delivered the verdict in the presence of the duo.
