The district administration in Bhola has imposed a ban on processions, meetings and rallies in Borhanuddin upazila until further notice following Sunday's fierce clash that killed four and injured hundreds of people.
Bhola Superintendent of Police Sarkar Muhammad Kawsar said: "The ban has been imposed to control law and order in the area."
Four platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh and one platoon of Coast Guard have been deployed to avert any untoward situation there.
On Sunday, four people were killed and hundreds were injured in Borhanuddin upazila in clashes between police and local people demonstrating for punishment of a youth who, they claimed, had hurt their religious sentiment by a Facebook post.
