Rain predicted in parts of country
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today (27 August) forecasted rain in different parts of the country in next 24 hours commencing from 9am.
"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country," said a Met office bulletin issued this morning.

The highest temperature on Wednesday was 36.2 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi, Srimangal, Jashore, Chuadanga stations while today's minimum temperature was 24.1 degrees Celsius in Sylhet.
In the last 24 hours (till 6am today), the highest 39 millimetre rainfall occurred at Teknaf of Chattogram division.
The sun sets at 6:22pm today and rises at 5:39am tomorrow in Dhaka.
