Rail services in Rajshahi resume after 2.5-hour disruption
Train services were suspended after a rail track broke near Arani Railway Station in Rajshahi at around 6:15am.
Train services between Rajshahi and the rest of the country resumed at around 8:30am today (1 September) after a section of railway track was repaired, following a disruption of nearly two and a half hours.

Three intercity trains were stranded at Rajshahi Railway Station, while three more were held up at other stations, causing significant inconvenience to passengers.
Farid Hossain, general manager of Western Railway, said six trains, including the Dhaka-bound Banalata Express, the Silk City Express, and the Khulna-bound Mahananda Express, were stranded after the track broke near Arani Railway Station.
"The trains left two and a half to three hours late after the track was repaired. Train services are now operating normally," he said.
"Authorities are looking into when and how the rail track broke," Farid added.
