The authorities have asked the committee to submit its report in the next seven working days, Mynul Islam told The Business Standard.

Assistant Station Master of Srimangal Railway Station Shakhawat Hossain said the train carrying fuel from Chattogram to Sylhet derailed in Satgaon area of Srimangal at around 12 noon today (Saturday).

A team of railway engineers reached the spot along with a rescue hydraulic tool van from Kulaura at around 2pm and another rescue relief train from Akhaura at around5.30 pm, Shakhawat added.

Meanwhile, four out of seven wagons have about 160,000 fuel oil. Oil spilled on and around the railway line as the oil-carrying bogie derailed. Ordinary people are crowding to collect this oil.
