Postal ballots to reach expatriate voters by January: EC
The commission plans to ensure that ballot papers are dispatched and reach the voters by 5 January next year.

The Election Commission (EC) has announced that all necessary arrangements to enable expatriate Bangladeshis to cast their votes through postal ballots will be completed by January next year.
The commission also confirmed that the procurement and distribution of all election materials at the field level will be finished by December.
According to the roadmap for the upcoming national election, unveiled today (28 August), the process of registration and enlistment of expatriate voters will begin on 11 November and conclude by 30 November.
The commission plans to ensure that ballot papers are dispatched and reach the voters by 5 January next year.
Meanwhile, the EC has prioritised 24 major tasks in its roadmap, aiming to hold the national election before the month of Ramadan.
It also said that the official election schedule will be announced around 60 days before polling day.
