Meanwhile, BNP has completed preparations for the residence and offices of Tarique Rahman ahead of his return to Bangladesh.
Speaking at a discussion of BNP's London chapter in London, UK yesterday, Tarique Rahman also said he will return to Bangladesh on 25 December. The BNP leader sought prayers from party leaders and supporters ahead of his homecoming after nearly 18 years in the UK.
Tarique Rahman was arrested in 2007 under an army-backed caretaker government.
Tarique flew to the UK in 2008 for treatment hours after his mother's announcement that he would stay out of politics until he recovered fully.
According to his lawyers, a total of 84 cases were filed against him over the years since then. However, since 5 August last year, following the ouster of the Awami League government in a mass uprising, Tarique has been acquitted of all these convictions.
