Singapore envoy meets BNP leaders, discusses election
Singapore's Non-Resident High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Derek Loh, on Thursday met a BNP delegation to discuss various issues related to bilateral ties and the upcoming election.
The meeting, which lasted for more than an hour, began around 4pm at the BNP chairperson's Gulshan office, said BNP Media Cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan.
BNP Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury led the three-member delegation.
The other members were BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed and Organising Secretary Shama Obaed.
Derek Loh was accompanied by the Singapore High Commission's Chargé d'Affaires Mitchel Lee and Tai Dai Ern, Country Director for South Asia.
Shayrul said the meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere, during which they discussed the current political situation, the next election, and bilateral issues between the two countries.
